an interesting shot, the idea has some interesting quirks .. the first being the use of colour or the lack of it. is the foreground devoid of colour or is it just dark? before you answer this question in your minds eye you are hit with another.. is the background really like that? the use of colour in the background is also striking but in the opposite way to the foreground, has colour been added? these two question hold the viewer, the scene plays this out wonderfully, the people talking without shape or expression, the street scene which could both be busy but quiet. very interesting
